The challenge

Keep the character. Connect the operation.

A niche retail brand needs more than a generic product grid. Customers need to find the right design and size, understand how made-to-order products work, and move confidently into checkout.

The store also needs consistent product information across its website, assistant and fulfilment tools, without turning the assistant into an unreliable source of prices or promises.

The implementation

One storefront, several useful systems.

Stelios created and operates this business using AI-assisted tools, WordPress/WooCommerce and hands-on integration work. The portfolio presents an owned implementation rather than a commissioned client project.

  • WooCommerce product catalogue with size and colour variants
  • Collections, product pages, cart and customer account journeys
  • Viva.com online-payment integration
  • Gelato integration for print-on-demand fulfilment
  • Shipment-tracking integration
  • Giorikas AI shopping assistant embedded in the storefront
  • Live Store API product lookup instead of invented products or prices
  • Pontic vocabulary lookup and store-specific answer boundaries

Product decisions

Useful AI needs boundaries.

Use the real catalogue

Giorikas is built to retrieve product information from the live WooCommerce Store API. Product names, prices and links should come from the store rather than the model’s memory.

Make the brand’s language part of the product

Pontic vocabulary lookup supports the store’s identity. Store-specific guidance covers products, sizes, fulfilment and shopping questions.

Keep sensitive actions in the right place

Payments stay in checkout. The assistant is not presented as having private order access and directs account-specific questions to store support.

Separate connected systems from business results

The implementation demonstrates a working storefront and integrations. It does not claim a measured sales uplift, revenue figure or automated fulfilment success rate.

Product evolution

From Shopify to a connected WooCommerce store.

I launched Pontiopoulo on Shopify in October 2023. In August 2026, I migrated the store to WooCommerce. The current portfolio documents the WooCommerce implementation and its later improvements, rather than implying that every current feature existed at launch.

Evidence & scope

Built, connected and inspectable.

Live storefront, product variants and catalogue API checked in October 2026.
Installed integrations verified: WooCommerce, Viva.com Smart Checkout, Gelato and Advanced Shipment Tracking.
Giorikas widget verified on the public store. Product-grounding and vocabulary boundaries are documented in the implementation.

These checks do not create a paid order or charge a card. Provider integrations are described as implemented; no new end-to-end paid purchase was made for this portfolio.

The smaller tools matter too.
